Mr. Sarath Kumar,

Just happen to watch one of your press meet. You are just blabbering! You should be opening your "So Called" Pandora Box, and let the secrets out , if you care about the welfare of actors. You keep talking about "Respect" and if you have any respect left out, just get out of your box and face the reality.

We have a society (Nadigar Sangam)  in here, and you and your Brother in Law (I do understand that he was your  co actor first ) are sitting on the the chairs for more than ten years and that too without elections? People would talk. It is for you to politely move away and let others take over.

You might have done a great job, and I wouldnt be able to judge that. But, you are also into politics. Your party is based on caste. Your personal-marital life isn't a "Mills & Boon" story line either. People would ask question.

And when they ask question, you should be a good leader and answer them if you can. All you are saying is, "if you dont stop asking, I am going to spill the beans on many people". Go ahead and spill, if you dare. You probably have nothing to say, then again, I will give you the benefit of doubt.

And, by the way, Mr.Vijaykant quit the post when he joined politics, that's what we call "Class". Whereas in your case, its the other way around.Your Mrs and you were once bitter critics of the current ruling party, and now you guys are staunch supporters of the same party. That's another reason that would encourage people to ask question about your loyalty and integrity. Having said that, it should also go for your Co Actor AKA Mr. Radha Ravi.

You could still win the election and might sit on the chair for another 25 years, more power to you. If that had to happen, I sincerely wish that you learn from your mistakes and don't repeat them.

If your opponents are asking for transparency, go ahead and give it to them. If they are asking explanation on "Sathyam Lease deal", go ahead and present it. Haven't you heard the good old proverb "மடியில் கனம்இருந்தால் தானே வழியில் பயம்". The way you guys behave make us all think, you guys treat Nadigar sangam like " கடை தேங்காய் வழி பிள்ளையார்".

And before I go, heres a suggestion (I would hate to call it advise). It is about time Mr. Radha Ravi learn to speak well in public. His Father M.R. Radha (May God bless his soul, one of my all time favorite actor) had an art of delivering his speech sarcastically, yet respectfully. M.R. Radha can say whatever he wanted to say and get away, because he had a great sense of humor and wouldn't hit below the belt. Mr. Radha Ravi lacks it. He seldom brings in senses and exposes himself too often. Every time, we hear Mr. Radha Ravi speak on public platform, we cant help wonder, how low would he go in private when the cameras are not around.

The bottom line is, Your Brother in Law and you were controlling the show for too long and people will ask questions. Be gracious and answer it. In the words of my good old President, " If you cant take the heat, get out of the kitchen".

To the Pandhavars Ani... Guys, I would be surprised if you all could pull it through. In Tamil Nadu everything is politicized. If you a happen to win it, don't make the same mistakes that your predecessors were doing. If you end up losing it, pat yourself at the back for running a good battle. No organization is better off without elected representatives leading it. You guys have in fact won half the battle by coming this far. Having said, that I see Mr. S.V. Sekar favoring your cause. That's another man whose integrity can be questioned and I am talking only about his politics.

Post Script :

Who the heck am I to say all these? Ladies and Gentlemen, Nadigar Sangam is a society. One don't have to be a member to raise question and suggests their view. Anyone can throw in their two cents, no matter what.

If you all still dont buy my reasons, heres another one. With the passing away of a multi talented Mr. Manivannan (May God bless his soul), I might join Tamil Cinema and fill the vacuum. In the words of Venniraadai Moorthy... " ஜாக்கிரதை"!

  1. Gaming the system (in this case sangam) is a way of life in Tamil Nadu. Initially people become leaders with good intentions in these sangams But after few years they consider themselves invisible. They do everything to stay as leaders, soon the society is solely for the leaders not for the welfare of members. Elections are rigged, vested interests become members, rules are changed. For example the drama artists in nadigar sangam is solely for voting purpose. How many dramas are held in Tamil Nadu, very few. It is a tricky issue to say they can't be in cinema actors sangam, because if you say they are not going to vote for you. When cine cameramen, directors and producers have own sangams what is nadaga nadigargal doing in cine actors sangam?
You can find these kind of gaming in every society where there is money. The indian cricket board (not now, before), co-operative societies etc. all have same problems. Term limit is a good idea, but they always change rules.
